Many people are struggling to find peace and comfort due to the tragic mass shooting that claimed 49 lives. It has left people, mainly in the LGBTQ+ community looking for some kind sign that they are not alone with their differences.
On June 12, 2016, Kelly Osbourne was photographed by Jeremy Kost on the way to the Abbey for a LA Pride event. She has solidarity written on the side of her head in the photograph.
Seems just writing it was not enough for her since Kelly took to social media to show her fans a new tattoo. Furthermore, she states that ‘Together we achieve what is impossible to those who stand alone….You are not alone.”

In addition to the photograph on Instagram, Kelly shares the definition of Solidarity; Unity of feeling of individuals with a common interest or person. Kelly also states that she has been wanting to get the tattoo for a while. She has a simular tattoo on the opposite side of her head that says ‘Stories’. The tragedy in Orlando gave her a reminder that every moment of life is precious.
Opinions seem to spilt when it comes to the tattoo. While the majority of fans have supported Kelly in getting the tattoo some fans do not understand the gesture. Some fans have commented that is not enough since it is just a tattoo. One person even asks ‘And how does getting a tattoo help humanity?’. Another person brought up the racist statements made about Latinos on NBC’s The View in 2015. Kelly has since apologized for those remarks.
