In 2020, Peter Phillips and Autumn Phillips’ divorce flew under the radar. They split one month after Prince Harry and Meghan’s exit. We soon learned that Autumn and Peter had been on the outs for months, and it took more than a year for them to finalize their divorce. Peter, as one of Queen Elizabeth’s favorite grandchildren, was completely protected by the British media and nothing scandalous came out of the divorce. There was some insinuation that Peter cheated though, and magically, he quickly moved on with a married woman named Lindsay Wallace. Lindsay left her husband around the same time as Peter and Autumn split. Then, during the height of the pandemic, Peter did a 460-mile booty call to get to Lindsay in Scotland. That was when we learned of their relationship. Peter then did a full girlfriend-rollout, bringing Lindsay to multiple royal events from 2021-23, even though she was still technically married. Well… Peter and Lindsay are over.

Princess Anne’s son Peter Phillips has suffered fresh royal heartache after splitting from his girlfriend. The late Queen’s favourite grandson, 46, started dating Lindsay Wallace, 43, in 2021 after the end of his marriage to Autumn Kelly, 45.

The King’s nephew and Lindsay Wallace are said to remain amicable, with nobody else believed to be involved. The pair each have two children from previous marriages. Lindsay was a classmate of Peter’s sister Zara Tindall, 42.

A source said: “They were friends before their relationship blossomed. But Peter and Lindsay have gone their separate ways as the relationship simply ran its course.”

Peter, eldest son of Princess Anne and her first hubby Captain Mark Phillips, once introduced Lindsay to his gran, Queen Elizabeth II, at Windsor Castle. And the 18th in line to the throne took his lover to royal events such as Wimbledon, Ascot, the Coronation concert and baby christenings.

They first met when she and Zara attended £45,000-a-year Gordonstoun School, Scotland. It is believed he and Lindsay reconnected and became friends again at a 2019 reunion.

In February 2020, Peter’s Canadian wife Autumn Kelly — who he married at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, in 2008 — told him she wanted to split.

I genuinely wonder if Lindsay ever finalized her divorce. It would be funny if this relationship ended because she went back to her husband. Anyway, my favorite part of this whole thing was that Peter’s jumpoff was his age. Like, he didn’t go for some 20-something aristocrat. He went for a generational peer and they seemed well-suited for each other. Beyond that, it was just fascinating to watch the double-standards at play for what should have been a society scandal involving QEII’s grandson leaving his wife for a married woman. Barely anyone said a word and the would-be scandal died on the vine.
